The Fallibility of Ministers

Have we ever considered what the Apostle Peter did at Antioch? It is a question that deserves serious consideration.

Eastern Orthodox Bishops – High Priests?

The office of the Bishop is essential to the continuation of the Eastern Orthodox Church.  Without the bishops the Orthodox Church would cease to exist.  This paper briefly examines the historical development of this ecclesiastical structure and compares the concept of the Orthodox Bishop with the bishop or overseer as described in the Scriptures1.

THE ANTICHRIST UNVEILED

On October 8th, 2000, Pope John Paul II, under the assumed title of Vicar of Christ, consecrated the world and the new millennium to “Mary Most Holy.” [1]  This “Act of Entrustment to Mary Most Holy” of that which belongs to God alone is a mockery of the First Commandment.  The Pope’s official and offensive act ought to warn Christians that while the Pope formally claims to be “the true vicar of Christ,” [2] he in fact opposes Christ by false worship.  What is equally serious is the title under which he performs.  The True Vicar of Christ is the Holy Spirit.  He alone is sent to take the Lord’s place, testifying not to Himself but to Christ.

Is the Quran Preserved?

Some Christian apologists make the argument that the Reminder refers to all of Allah’s messages including the one revealed in the Bible. Muslims usually reject this claim and say that Allah guards only the Quran. Taking into account everything that the Quran says about the Scriptures of the Jews and the Christians, one can make a solid argument that the Quran presupposes that the Jews and Christians possess indeed God’s authentic and uncorrupted revelation (see these articles). However, since Muslims often do not accept those arguments, the purpose of this paper is to show that their position leads to a set of logical problems. Thus, for argument’s sake I will go along with these Muslim claims, and explore where this interpretation will lead us when taken together with some other Muslim convictions.

Muslim Jesus vs. Biblical Jesus

The Islamic position on the identity of Jesus is taken from the Koran and Hadiths, which together comprise the ultimate authority in the Muslim Religion. Most Muslims are not aware of most of  these texts. Likewise, most Christians are not aware of their own Biblical Scriptures defending the identity of Christ. And certainly, many Christians are not aware of either the Biblical or Islamic Scriptures describing Jesus Christ. So, I believe it is crucial to bring into focus for you exactly what Islam says about Jesus and then compare it to what the Bible says about who Jesus is.

"Let’s March For Jesus"

Let me ask you a question. Do you really think that has anything to do with biblical Christianity?

The Passion of the Christ: Motives Revealed

The newly released "Definitive Edition" of Mel Gibson’s "The Passion of the Christ" confirms the film was produced with the specific purpose to promote a Roman Catholic agenda that would introduce viewers to the Roman Catholic "Mary" and the Roman Catholic "Jesus."

Shouldn’t Churches Be More Ecumenical, More Willing To Compromise?

From my earliest experience in the kingdom of God, for as long as I can remember, people have been telling me, "We need to be more ecumenical." When I was in high school, teachers and other students told me that. When I was in college all the professors (without exception) and my fellow students told me the same thing. Even those who claimed to believe the gospel of God’s grace.

The Antichrist

Jesus said, "For many shall come in my name, saying, I am Christ; and shall deceive many" (Matt.24:5). Not just one man at the end of time, but many men, a succession of men, all claiming to come in the name of Christ, and each one of them claiming to be Christ. A succession of men,...

THE DOWNWARD COURSE OF TRIFLING WITH ERROR

The Christian recognises the error -

Then he tolerates it; then he excuses it; then he defends it; then he condones it; and finally he embraces it!
